Executive Director Lucy Carmody introduced the Responsible Investment ecosystem in Asia, underlining areas of particular activity and predicted evolutions. Claire Veuthey, Business Development Manager, laid out techniques and tools for managing impacts to portfolios from reputational risk. Senior Editor Laura Dodge spoke on the findings from the Asian Sustainability Rating™ report, highlighting leaders and laggards in sustainability disclosure. Senior Analyst Antti Savilaakso presented findings from the 'Alternative Energy in Asia’ report, including the variety of situations created by different technologies and country approaches. The looming impact to business due to water risks in India were examined in depth by Jaideep Panwar, Responsible Investment Analyst, who offered regional nuances and case studies supporting his analysis. Analysts provided the results of their scrutiny of the Telecoms sector in Asia by picking out unexpected drivers for responsible ESG risk management. Finally, Analyst Jill Chin addressed the ESG risks and opportunities investors face in the waste sector in Asia, giving a comprehensive overview of an area of growing interest for global investors.
