High Profile Internship Opportunity in Asia

We have an opportunity for a postgraduate intern to work on a paid research project to analyse independent research issues in the capital markets of Asia Pacific.
The work would be mostly desk bound research and would result in the publication of a white paper under the auspices of the Asia IRP.
The Members would use the findings in their advocacy with exchanges, regulators and other bodies to try to improve clarity on regulations for commission sharing agreements and ‘soft dollar’ arrangements. The coverage will also include moves towards the protection of investors against the inherent risk of conflict and bias in research which comes ‘free’, bundled with execution services.
The report could take around 8 weeks to research and write on a full time basis. The internship would suit someone with excellent research and English writing skills who has an interest in capital markets policy development or working in legal and compliance of investment banking. The candidate should be based in Hong Kong or Singapore, be able to legally work in these locations on an internship, read Chinese and to be able to work independently.
